 How this all started...

🤔 The Problem:

In 2015, JR Ricker was running multiple restaurant locations in Indiana. From talking with other local brick-and-mortar owners, he kept hearing the same problem:

Finding customers for a brick & mortar business is really freaking hard!

Not only that, but it's costing more money to find potential customers and current paid marketing solutions lead to uncertain results — how many paying customers are coming through the business’s doors?

He identified referrals from existing customers as the highest quality and lowest cost way of bringing in new customers and successfully implemented multiple referral & customer advocacy campaigns throughout his restaurants — bringing in over 150 referrals and $1,500 from ten existing customers (in just two week’s time!)

He then set out to build a new type software to enable other businesses with a physical location(s) to do the same.

In 2020, Townee launched the first customer referral & advocacy platform designed for businesses with a physical location(s).
